Technical description

The air valve ensures reliable operation of piping systems by allowing air pockets to be released during working conditions, large volumes of air to enter in the event of draining operations or a pipe burst, and air to be discharged at a controlled speed.

Features

• GJS 450-10 ductile iron body and cover.

• Stainless steel venting sub-assembly.

• Stainless steel seat.

• Solid polypropylene float.

• Stainless steel anti water hammer system with adjustable orifices.

• RAL 5005 blue epoxy coating applied by fluidised bed technology.

Working conditions

• Pressure: 10-16-25-40 bar.

• Minimum pressure 0.2 bar.

• Clean water up to 60°C, higher values on request.

Connections

• Flanges from DN 50 to DN 300 mm.

• Flanges to EN 1092/2, ANSI 150, AS; others on request.

• 1″ – 2″ BSP F threads; NPT on request.

Standard

• Designed and tested to EN 1074, AWWA C-512, AS 4956, AS 4020, WRAS.
